I frequently get unsolicited alerts to install Airport firmwear update 7.6.1, and just as frequently have attempted to install it. When I do, a notice pops up indicating that the update went just fine...except, that is, that an error was detected during the update and that my router cannot be found -- or words to that effect. When I then go into applications to verify the update, it always indicates that I've still got version 7.4.2 (or is it 7.4.1?) installed, and that the 7.6.1 update did not take.
Any ideas? This is maddening! Surely it's not unique to my particular Airport Express router, which happens to work just fine otherwise.
