I just upgraded my macbook to Snow Leopard and I want to download iMovie, but the app store is saying Lion is required for download. Is there any way to get iMovie on my computer now?

From either the original discs that came with your computer - it's in the pre-bundled software folder - or look for the iLife boxed set on eBay or Amazon.com.
If your MacBook will support Lion, then upgrading to Lion is the most direct way to get iMovie 11. Then you could buy it from the Mac App Store. If you can wait a week or two, you could upgrade directly to Mountain Lion and save a little money.
