Macintosh Computers that require an ethernet crossover cable to transfer files

Trying to move Photoshop files from windows PC to NEW Macbook pro. Files are large and using a Ethernet cable to transfer them would be the fastest.

Need to determine if New Mac Book pro requires a Ethernet cross over cable to required or a regular Ethernet cable will work.

Pc is about 3 years old. It started out as Vista then was

upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate. It was probably one of the

first gen i7 Processors on the market. It has 6-8 meg of memory

and works well with photoshop which is its primary function.

After 30 years of "you have reinstall the operating system to fix

that problem" -(which should be the last resort to fix any problem I got sick and

tired of this same lame excuse. Thought I would try and Apple and

see if the operating system was more stable. So far so good but need to

re learn many things.
