photo streaming to apple tv 3gen

Hey, I am having problems to connect my IMac (Mid/End 2011) Iphoto libary with the Apple TV 3 gen. It is showing 0 photos in Itunes and Itunes is still mention the streaming is for apple 2 gen. Is a streaming of photos currently not working? If not, how do I have to set up my IMac?
