I have recently obtained an Aria extreme n wifi card for my Mac Mini to replace the factory b/g card. The Mac Mini operates with Lion. However, whilst the machine recognises that it is an n card, it tells me that it cannot find any networks in range. Is there anything else I need to do to either enable this card or remove any record of the old b/g card?

Is the antenna attached? Do any black bars show under the Wifi icon?

Thanks. This worked yesterday but today I came home to find that whilst my Mac mini can see the Airport router, it can't connect to it - sometime durig the night, whilst my machine was downloading a film from Itunes, it seems to have lost the connection. I can't re-establish the connection to the Airport Express - whenever I try to connect it immediately says "could not join... A connection timeout occurred" I've tried re-doing your instructions above but to no avail.

Have you reset the Express? Restarted your Mac?

yes to both. Express works fine with Macbook and Apple TV. Now does not work with Mac Mini since installed new wifi card - did for a while and then dropped off. Now says connection timeout.

I've again deleted my old network locations and created a new one, as before. Mac mini now connects to Express again. Many thanks!

...and now it's gone again. It can see airport express but when I try to connect, it says "Connection timeout" again. Repeated what I did before, reset Airport Express but nothing works. I had two days of normal service.
