Transfer music & Video from iPhone to PC

Hello,

I have recently formatted my laptop (Windows 7) in which I had installed iTunes. Now after format I want to transfer all music and video files which are there in my phone back to my laptop.

Before formatting the PC I had taken my phone backup and copied the contained of C:\Users\indedas2\Music\iTunes to my external HDD. I do not know which one is my phone backup among them? What is the file extension of the backup file?

I used to put music files under a different location " D:\PERSONAL\iTune\Music\Hindi\ " and then select File->Add folder to library option and then synch to phone. I have not taken backup of music folder before formatting my laptop.

Now how I can transfer music files are there in my phone back to my PC?

Please tell the procedure.

Thanks.

No iTunes content is included with the iPhone's backup.

You should have included your iTunes media folder with your computer's backup per the instructions included with this link.

iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.

First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunres if you haven't already done so.

With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
