Gap between the front screen and metal band

Hi there, I have a problem with my iPhone 4. The other day I noticed that there was a gap on the top side next to the headphone jack about an inch long and wide enough to fit a piece of paper in between. I've read that it is quite common on the back panel but I don't know about the front.

So what is your opinion on what I should do about it? My 1 year warranty is long up.And the phone hasn't been dropped or anything like that. It's just that the dust is getting in and I'm afraid it might damage the internals or the screen.

A picture of it:

Thanks for the help : )

You have two problems in that corner. One is the front glass has separated from the plastic frame, the glass can be pressed with fingers back down under frame. If after that, if the plastic frame is still slightly separated from the silver metal iPhone frame, then with fingers both front glass and black plastic frame together try to press all the way down back into place. If this cannot be done then, the front screen plastic frame is held by internal screws to the iPhone silver metal frame. The iPhone must be taken apart and these screws adjusted to get black plastic frame exactly back in place.
