Concerned about busting the plastic clips off when updating my memory , any suggestions to avoid this.

What steps do I have too take to insure this does not happen. I read some threads about this and was wondering if the clips busting is a common problem.

Just follow the instruction at > Mac mini: How to remove or install memory

The trick in removing the stock RAM, is to spread the clips just far enough so that you can tip the modules up and then out.

When putting in the new ones, just be sure to fully seat them into the slot first before swinging them down and into the clips.
