Duplicate music tracks on iPhone

Several albums have their tracks duplicated on my iPhone but not on my iMac or my iPad. Does anyone know how I can remove the duplicates on my iPhone4s? I tried deleting my entire music library from the phone then re-loading/synching it with the iMac but the duplicates came back. I think it might have something to do with the iCloud and the ablums in question were purhased from iTunes after I had set up my iCloud/iMatch accounts
