Apple ID Disabled: Mystery FINALLY solved

http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch

Oh man, FINALLY my Apple ID has been restored. It was "Disabled" due to security reasons. Someone stole my credit card and even after updating my credit card information on my Ipod Touch it was still indicating disabled. Enough to put me through the ceiling. FINALLY, I had some help from an Apple Store associate that connected me with an online agent. First you have to email apple through the link above.

Ok folks, you ready? When resetting your apple password, 1-Do it on your Ipod Touch, 2-Use THAT password to log INTO your apple account on your pc/mac. Oh my gosh. I thought I was going nuts because I would reset my password on my PC first, then try to reset it on my Touch and it kept saying: This password has been used in the last year, try another one. I was like, I JUST reset it.

Anyway, Just contact Apple first, because they have to reset your account first by verifying your identity, THEN reset your password on your ipod touch and use that same password for your pc/mac when/if you access your account from your pc for itunes, etc. then hopefully your account will no longer be disabled.

I know this is a lot of information, but I hope it helps some of you out there. I was SO frustrated for so long.

Best.

Sorry, I wish I had more insight for you. Just make sure you email apple first to get your ID unlocked, or else simply changing your password won't work. Contacting Apple first, is a must. I tried to figure it out on my own for the longest time, when if I would've contacted Apple first it would've saved me a lot of time and aggravation.

Good luck
