Keyboard layout changed by toddler. Password to login fails...

Tried to start w/ disc still get login w/password screen. Maybe I need to hold down a different key? Help!

iMac, iOS 4.3.3

With the disk inserted restart and hold down the option key on the chime sound. Select the DVD. I expect you have already read up on the steps involved in resetting your admin password.

You don't need to go into single user mode to do that, just simply via the Utilities menu via the GUI screen availble by booting from the DVD.

Thank you, that probably would have been easier. I did end up going through the single user mode and created a new account. Then changed the password back on the original account and got in. Phew! I got conflicting info on which key to hold at startup and tried everything more than once.
