I recently purchased the USB adapter for the newest iPad. When I plug in my USB drive to the adapter, it says it "requires too much power" to run on the iPad. How do I fix this issue so that my iPad can read my USB drive?

Some USB drives do work. I've had about a 50/50 success rate. But even if you get them to work, the only thing the iPad supports is the import of photos or video, and even then only if those files follow a very specific naming convention. You can't import documents or music or other types of files.
