Canon Printer Drivers v2.9 for OS X - Grayscale Printing not possible?

I have the MX868 printer scanner. I downloaded and installed the Apple Canon Printer Drivers for the MX860 series which allows me to print but noticed that the driver does not allow me to print in B&W / greyscale. I tried to access 'Quality & Media' options from the driver pop-up menu but these options do not exist with new driver (it simply says grayscale not enabled)

I will try and install the updated canon software for OS X 10.7 (Lion) from canon support site to see if original driver resolves the problem
