imessage won't activate

I have an iPhone 3GS (waiting for the 5 to come out to upgrade) and just tonight my phone freaked out and shut down and had to be restored and etc. I restored it, backed it up with my latest backup, downloaded the most updated software, and put everything back. However I cannot for the life of me get my iMessage (I had iMessage active before) to activate!!! It keeps popping up the "an error has occured while activating. Try again" crap! I've changed my password, set the date and time for automatic, reset my networks, synced and resynced again, and did just about every possible thing I found and read on other communities. Can anyone help??? Please!!! And thank you!!!
