Like the title says, my 2007 black MacBook has a swollen battery that interferes with the operation of the computer. Since this is, obviously, not an issue of the battery being old and run down, but rather a defect in the battery design, I feel that Apple should replace this for me. I have been running the laptop without the battery, but I have discovered that this reduces the processor performance in the computer ... handy. So, I cannot use the computer, the way it was designed to be used, with the battery in or out. I don't have $130.00 to replace it with an official Apple replacement, and I am fearful of replacing it with an aftermarket battery I found on eBay for $30.00. What are my options?
