Safari can't connect to the server even though my internet is working. Any solutions?

All of a sudden, Safari Version 5.1.7 can't connect to the server.

My WiFi, internet & Chrome browser are all functioning. I'm running OS X Version 10.7.4 & have tried resetting Safari, restarting my MacBook Pro several times, repairing permissions, but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Please help!

UPDATE...

Turns out that it was the application LITTLE SNITCH that was causing all of the problems!

MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Little Snitch was the culprit for me as well. Turns out I blocked one rule earlier in the day and it turned out to not allow me to connect to any websites through Safari.

Peer Guardian application caused the same issue. Thank you. Little Snitch was my indicator. Thank you.
