The article that got me to this space describes the problem perfectly, yet offers no solutions. I've tried importing individual files, folders, groups of folders and nothing I've tried heretofor will pull the apparent video files (.mts) into iPhoto. The files are from a relatively new Panasonic Lumix camera. Any ideas??? EP

9.2.3. Yesterday, I tried the "Import Camera" feature in iMovie, but nothing seems to pull the videos into iPhoto....
You need iPhoto 9.3 and OS 10.7.4 minimum.

Is there a patch or work around for iPhoto 9.2.3, also version 10.6.8?
I am open to downloading an application or software utility if that's what it requires.

Patch? No. There us an upgrade
Work around? Same as always. Import AVCHD video into iMovie. If you want it in iPhoto export as normal video

Sometimes it's the most obvious solution, but you still need someone to smack you in the forehead with it.
I'm having a similar problem in iphoto 10.0.5. AVCHD files will not import from my canon hf r62 camera but MP4 files will. But I need AVCHD files for Final cur express 4.01. Any ideas? tyhanx
What version of iPhoto?
A note on AVCHD: This format was developed for people who are shooting to edit the material afterwards. If you're shooting to edit, then iMovie or Final Cut are the correct home for this material. If you're not shooting to edit consider using one of the other video formats on your Camera.
