Just created a Journal, but while browsing it, I tapped on a picture which came to a full screen. Sadly, I can't find how to get out of full screen!. I can swipe the picture, and it changes to the next one or the one before, but, there it is not a "Back" button or something like that. Anyone happened that?. how can I address this?

Tap the picture, and the Journal name should appear in the upper left corner. Tap that, and you will be back into the front of the Journal.
That is exactly what I was expecting, but, nope. Tapped the picture and nothing happened. Anyone else experienced this?
The app might be frozen. Switch to the muti-task bar, tap and hold any of the displayed apps until they start to jiggle and a little red minus sign shows in the upper left corner of each. Tap the red minus sign on the iPhoto app to force quit it, then press the Home button to exit. Try opening iPhoto and your journal again and see if it works better.
can't escape from full view of a photo from journal, anyone?
