My Ipod has become very slow...
I cleared all open programs but it does very little... with nothing running even opening a application it freezes and continues to load..
I have the Ipod Touch 4? lastest one with the double cameras.. running the lastest IOS

Try restoring yor ipod to factory settings.

I have done 2 full factory restores with no change
Reset the iPod many times as well as powered it down
For a few days and booted it back up
This iPod touch is lagging while I type right now
It catches up but it used to be fast like a rocket
I've tried all the disabling tricks but it's done very little
I've rebooted my router done speed tests. On my pc and iPod
Both show 10mbs + peaking 20 at times
Maybe it's your iPod, mines did the same and recently it just broke a while ago.....
you can also deleting alot of apps and pictures and things you dont need. Especially apps that take up a huge amount of space because it makes it go slower.
Have you jailbroken your iPod? This can cause severe issues in the long run, including and especially slowing down of the device.

Back on my PC... took a screen shots of my usage.. ect...
Song Pop .. Draw Something and Whats on (tv guide) i've tried with and without them.. no difference.. its only doing certian tasks you really notice it..
Typing... you keep typing even though its not displaying and like 5-10 seconds it will apear..
Facebook is a nightmare updating status updates... (Its NOT my network)
I dont have much at all installed just a songs and a few apps

Nope, but now its disconintued Ipod Touch 4 my battery dies so fast with the last OS I think they put something in the last update to make us upgrade to the newer model.
