hardware acceleration settings

Hello-

I've been told to set my hardware acceleration slider to "Full" in order to get rid of a problem I am having with a Barbie game my daughter got for her birthday.

I think they were reading to me from their Windows knowledge base (he kept telling me to right click on my background and select "preferences"). I cannot find a similar setting for OS X. I can only assume it is always on "Full". Can someone validate this for me?

The error I'm getting is a Macromedia error I believe (Director Player Error : Script Error) and they say this fixes the problem.

Thanks,
troy

The closest setting in OS X to this would be found in System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Options tab for "Processor Performance," with a popup choice of Automatic, Highest, or Reduced. There is no "acceleration slider" in the system preference.

Unless they are talking about a preference for the game itself, they have the wrong OS info.
