How do I get an NUC code from Apple?

Hi,

I have recentley upgraded my Iphone 4 to a 4s as part of a contract renewal. A collegue of mine would like to buy my old 4 but she is on a different network to me. I have requested an NUC code from my carrier (Vodafone uk) but they say my phone (IMEI) is not on there database and will need to be unlocked by Apple. I can't seem to find any way of getting a NUC code from Apple so would be greatful if someone could point me in the right direction.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, NUC Code

Thanks for the info Warrior, I have been back intouch with Vodafone and they still insist there is nothing they can do as this phone originally came from an Apple store and not from them. The original phone they sent was one of those with the dodgy signal issue. Vodafone advised that I take it to an Apple store to get it checked out and Apple just gave me a new phone.

I am now being told to take it back to the Apple store I got it from and get them to unlock it. Does anyone know how likely this will be??
