Problem connecting with Ethernet cable

I had my AppleTV connected via WiFi, the interuptions were too many, I connected the unit via Ethernet cable directly to my At&T Internet router. The AppleTV continues to search for search for 'setting Time and date' indefinetely. I have unplugged the AppleTV about 20-30 times, it does not go any further. All other devices, such as my lap-top, my wife's Ibook connects within seconds regardless if via Ethernet cable or WiFi.

All the settings are showing, IP address as well as it says when I let it apply TCP/IP automatically ' is connected ?

What is the problem and how can I resolve it ? tomas johansson
