how do I include the photos of a slideshow so that people can have access to them?

First assemble them in a folder on the Desktop. Next in iDVD use the Advanced menu and select Edit DVD-ROM Contents menu option.

In the next window select Add files,

go to the folder on the Desktop and select it. That will give you this:

The photos will be available for access by computer.

Am I mis-remembering that there was a setting in iDVD that asked if one wanted photos in SlideShow to be added as an extra to the DVD user.

First choice - Add always to original photos in the DVD-ROM-content ? ! ?

Or may be I'm dreaming.

(never used it - I too prefer the way You describe as it gives 100% control)

You're absolutely right.

Like you I prefer the other way because the photos won't be added to the DVD if I forget and don't uncheck the box.
