I've seen the spill questions in the community -- my question is this -- 3 year old mac book pro, just out of warranty, I love my local mac store -- should I make an appointment at the genius bar and just figure I'm leaving the mac book with them for a bit? Minor spill, but the space bar is sticking/clicking so I figure I should take it in before I have bigger problems ...

feel free to take it in, it's out of warranty anyway.
Also, I know the warranty part doesn't matter, assuming I'm paying for this ... "just out" to indicate age of machine (just over 3 years)
to avoid further issues, you should stop using it and have the genius bar have a look at it....

thank you Bimmer, that was good advice, the heat was making it worse. got it in today and there was already corrosion affecting a few components. got it home to back up and ordering a new mac book pro -- they were out of entry level on models at the store. not the way I wanted to buy a new mac book.
