Is it worth upgrading from Ipad2 to the new Ipad?

Only if you would appreciate the retina display, better rear camera, dictation and the A5X chip. And also 4G LTE if you wanted to get the cellular model (if you live in Canada or the U.S.).
I actually want to send my Ipad 2 to the Philippines. Me and my mom have decided to just save on long distance bills by using skype or facetime to ocmmunicate with one another. But I'm deliberating if it's really worth the upgrade as well. I usuallly don't take a lot of pictures or videos using my ipad since I have an iphone 4s. I just like to edit video on my ipad 2 Surf the net, watch videos and check e-mail. But thanks for letting me know.
If you are going to send the iPad2 to your mother and purchase a new iPad anyway, by all means get the new iPad. I think that if you are doing video editing on the iPad it would be worth upgrading for that purpose alone.
The new iPad has a faster processor and the retina display. That would make it worth the upgrade to me.
