How can my iPad be added to my home network?

I have tried every set of numbers on my 2Wire home network portal. But after locating the WI-FI when entering the password that is written on the portal, I get an error message saying that the password is incorrect. I have other computers in this network which had no problem joining. I am quite frustrated now. By the way, my other computers are PCs. What am I missing here?
