Download help!!!

I am trying to download Mountain Lion, but it is VERY slow. Can it somehow be faster? Also, has anyone actually finished downloading yet? 😉

It's slow because its a big download, it's slow because MAS is never fast, it's slow because right now everybody in the world is hitting the DL. Forget about it, at times it may look like nothing is happening at all. Take a walk, read a book, do the laundry.

Apple has just outdone itself on this one. I buy a new computer on July 6 with the promise that when Mt. Lion becomes available, I will be able to upgrade it free. Then Apple develops this convolutedly stupid process for doing so. First, the sure has to find the page where a link is to get the upgrade, Second, has to fill out information Apple already has, presumably because Apple wants to know you are who yo are despite knowing precisely who you are unless you did not register, setup the App Store, on and on. I bought my computer from the Apple Store so that's still bunk. Third after filling out all the unnecessary fields, they send two coded messages. The first contains a PDF for which you need an unlock code. The second has the unlock code. Fourth, You open the PDF then enter the code and it gives you another code. fifth you go to the App store. Sixth, you have to figure out where the quick links are. Never noticed don't use the store all that much. Seventh, you click on the Redeem link. Eighth, you enter the code. Ninth you get an error message. That code has already been used. Codes can only be used once. Crapola! I hadn't had time to use it before. eleventh, call Apple and talk to an agent after waiting several minutes. twelfth, the agent puts you on hold. Thirteeenth, after several minutes a new agent comes on the line to whom you have to explain the problem all over. Fourteenth, you are put on hold again for several minutes. Fifteenth, agent comes back. "ITunes is pushing new codes to all persons having their problem as quickly as possible. Sixteenth, wait an hour. No new codes. Someone deserves to be fired, and unlike Romney, I don't like firing people.
