Jul 25, 2012 7:44 AM in response to diverterby steve359,Lion could take 8 hours on a non-loaded server. The new cat is a little bit bigger.

Jul 25, 2012 7:45 AM in response to diverterby Hovscorpion,Apple's servers are being loaded. Since your Mountain Lion is already downloading.... don't touch it, just let it do it's thing and I hope you enjoy your experience with Mountain Lion.

Jul 25, 2012 7:52 AM in response to diverterby hyndman,I have been trying to download Mountain Lion for around 2 hours. Each time I download it sticks at 53.25MB. I have tried to delete the install and start again, This is extremely frustrating, Waiting does nothing it is just pure stalled. I am in the UK using my US Itunes account.

Jul 25, 2012 7:55 AM in response to diverterby rmhurd,I missed Lion and its 8 hour download. I hope Mountain Lion is not that long
Started my download of Mountain Lion on a iMac purchased on 7 Jun (ouch, missed free upgrade) approximately 100 minutes ago. Indicator on the LaunchPad icon says it is downloading but it seems to be slow. Good news so far is no error messages.
Suspect my problem is communication bandwidth coming into the house (only 17 M download speed available). Hope I do not have any router / network glitches.
Little nervous about the loading process (assuming this process gets that far)

Jul 25, 2012 8:02 AM in response to hyndmanby Screaming.Pict,hyndman- I'm in the UK (using a UK store account) and my download is also stuck at 53.25MB.
Have tried clearing caches and restarting, always hangs/fails at 53.25MB. Have tried on a different 'net connection (completely different ISP) and get the same thing. Additionally another chap in the office has had the same failure at the same point. Seems like it's Apple's server that is having a headache. Not sure why it always craps out at the same 53.25MB tho.

Jul 25, 2012 8:04 AM in response to diverterby Steve Holton,Just finished in less than an hour over broadband connection.
Your time will definitely vary as the load is heavy and it will depend, I suspect, on the actual server that serves you.
As you can imagine at least a "gazillion" downloads are in progress.
