Download this,
Then retry the download once its installed.
Download the App,
Uninstall Hotpsotsheild if you dont want it anymore.
Worked for me.

It is approximately 3/4 finished. Second is MacBookPro that is hardwired connected to same router via ethernet. That machine just started and is reporting 30 minute download time. So much for wireless......

Jul 25, 2012 10:20 AM in response to rmhurdby ipodperson1,dear everybody we arre all retards! the hotspot shield works becasue most of the ip adresses they give to are from the south westren corner of the us near the apple servers and most of us with problems are from uk or canada primarily any where other than the us i am still being told 9 hours although i already have 2gb done but it is better than being stuck!!!

sudo du -h -d 3 /private/var/folders/gv/{GUID}/com.apple.appstore/{randomID}/
this will give you the actual size of the file downloaded, found via lsof

BTW, I am in Australia with cable connection that can get 15+ MB/sec downloads normally.

Jul 25, 2012 7:51 PM in response to RemekTekby RemekTek,It worked! After Pausing, I uninstalled Hotspotshield, then hit Resume and it went back to full speed. It is into the install process. Fingers and toes crossed!
