I have just downloaded the latest Safari V6.0 but the Google search window is no longer on the toolbar.
I used View/Customise Toolbar to open a window which appears allow changes to the toolbar, but drag and drop does not work for the Address and Search facility.

Are you referring to the search field? The address bar and the search field is now one and the same. I hope this helps.

Yes it is one and the same but the 'view/customize' makes it appear to be changable. If you want to change it back a google search window and an address bar how do you do that?

It isn't changeable. As you type Safari tries to anticipate what you want to do and a life search window drops down so you can scroll and quikly pick from the list. You cannot have both a search text area and an address text area.
If after clicking on an address from the drop down search window you want to go back to the list you were presented with is that possible? I end up having to do a new search and start from scratch from my homepage when I really want to just click through some of the options I originally got from my search.

New version of Safari 6 has lost the toolbar search facility.
