I have Lion version 10.5.8 on my iMac and I can't find the download for 10.7, only the upgrades to the 10.7 version. Does anyone know where to find it and how to download? I have checked the downloads on the Apple Support site, but either I'm missing it or it isn't on the list. Thanks for any help in advance!

10.5.8 is not Lion, that's Leopard. You cannot upgrade from Leopard directly to Lion via download. You will have to either buy the Lion flash drive from the Apple Store, or buy and install a copy of Snow Leopard (10.6), update it to 10.6.6 or later, then download Lion (10.7) from the App Store (which will be in the Applications folder).

My OS X version is 10.6.8 and when I go to the App store, I cannot find Lion, just Mountain Lion. I don't think Lion is on the App store anymore.
Hmm, yup, that looks right. I don't see Lion anymore either. Interesting. I guess if you didn't upgrade to Lion yet, it's Mountain Lion (if your machine can handle that) or stick with what you've got!
I'm going to the Apple Store to see if I can still buy the flash drive version. I'm hesitant to upgrade to ML because I don't trust it with regards to battery life.

That's true. Just based on what happened with Lion historically. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
Thanks, All, for the responses. I actually wanted to download Pages from iwork but I can't with this operating system and though I could upgrade. Unless I'm mistaken, this is much more than I originally bargained for - does anyone else have any thoughts?
