Do not disturb???

Select the Notifications icon in the menu bar and then scroll up a little bit.

All the settings that control what is included in Notifications is in System Preferences > Notifications.

Yes, I have "Show Alerts and Banners".

My guess is that, in the end, that was felt to be more descriptive than "Do Not Disturb".

At least it takes up less space as you can see in the link below.
