I upgraded to OS X Moutain Lion this am. Everything went great!!!! Or so I thought. Any time I try to open a windows application using Parallels it says its not compatable..
I checked on line and it states it is........
Should i just reinstall the parallels software?
Will that fix it?

how do I update? Evertime I try to open it, it says its not compatable. I cant get it to run, let alone update.........
Make sure you have installed the latest Parallels update.
Version should be at 7.0.15104 (revision 778994).
Have updated to ML on my 2011, 13", 2.7 GHz i7 Macbook Pro
and Parallels and my Win7 Pro VM seem to run just fine.

Oh, when I put the disk in is said there is an update!!!!!!! Hoping this fixes it!!!!!!

can log in and download the full installer. Actually, it will send
you an email with the link to get it.
I had the same problem. I downloaded the latest version of Parallels 7 and everything worked fine. It reinstalled Parallels Tools in the Windows partition, but it did not take long.
Okay, I put in the disk, and it updated from there. I dont understand why this didnt already update on its own....... It always has in the past...I have never had to put the disk in for it to update!!!!!
The reason for the difference this time is that any versions of Parallels 7 prior to the current July 10, 2012 Build 7.0.15104 just will not work in Mountain Lion.
Hence, if it does not work, it cannot access its update feature; requiring you to reinstall Parallels 7 from the original disk (which will look online for an update first), or for you to uninstall it and then reinstall it with the most current version available online at Parallels site:

I took the advice from this group and re-installed it. Works fine.
Its working fine for me as well....... have noticed some glitches like mail shutting down, and dvd locking up...... Im hoping with the next update will fix some of these glitches.....
Post your glitches on the Parallels Forum, so that they will be aware of them and can address them for you.
