I have a 2009 MBP. Why did I have to pay the same amount of money to upgrade to Mountain Lion as everyone else but only get a portion of the features? First I don't have mirroring and now I don't have PowerNap? This is wrong. I've read arguments that it's all about the hardware specs, but c'mon Apple! If a third-party app (AirParrot) can do it, then you could've done it.

Guys, this isn't about how we can use 3rd party applications like Airparrot. I am faced with a physical disability and don't work at the momet and I can not afford a new MBP. I have a MBP mid 2009 and I think powernap and airplay mirroring should be included as long as you have a intel mac. It's not hard and it's definitely not rocket science. I am not prepared nor in the position to go out and spend almost $3500 on a new mac so I ccan have these amazing features. I'm so disappointed in Apple

There are no useful features other than airplay mirroring in Mac OS X Mountain lion that I am wowing about so why did I upgrade? Why is it that Airparrot works with ALL Macs AND windows machines but Apple can't make it's own Airplay mirrroring work on ealier macs? mmm, I wonder. Maybe it's because Apple wants people to spend another $2000-3500 on a new Mac. I really like keeping up to date with my software but why did I waste my money on this when I don't get some of the amazing features that comes along with it? Does this seem fair to you? If you ask me, it doesn't
