mountain lion, notes sync, and .me

Hi guys,

I still feel like this iCloud / apple ID / .me thing is a big mess. I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and in the preference pane that opens upon install for ML, it says "Choose an iCloud email address to use Notes with iCloud". I already have a .me address, but it just tells me that it's already in use and asks me to pick another name. Why is no option available to use the existing one?

So confusing...

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

This is still a problem in Yosemite. I think it is just Apple's way of trying to force you to have an iCloud email rather than having the Gmail associated with it. You know - these folks are so busy trying you to buy ALL in to their brand that they are losing touch with the simplicity that makes me want to use the products. SO SICK OF THIS S$$$.

Yep - I did instore with the Apple Genius. But I'm finding it really messy anyway. i.e. I have a gmail apple ID and the .me apple ID. I still have to log-on with the GMail ID for Apple Store, .me into the iCloud, GMail in iTunes, it's just annoying.

There's also another bug with ML App store where I keep getting "You have 3 apps to accept" (garageband, imovie, iphoto), once I put in my apple ID password, it says I already accepted them but the message doesn't go away. Bah, common Apple. They should really have one unified place for everything: App Store, iTunes, iCloud, should all be one thing.
