I have also used a vpn connection to another country and get the same response.

The same problem happens on my other computer so it appears to be a common problem.

Both computers (air book and imac) are ML compatible.

Already tried disabling virus barrier and clearing app store cache. No joy

I've got the same problem...

"This copy of the Install OS X Mountain Lion application can't be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading."

The progress bar on launchpad seems to be competed once I clicked download OS X Mountain Lion from the app store. I tried deleting and redownloading about 10 times and it still does not work. I'm pretty frustrated.

It could be a network related issue perhaps, are you on VPN?Have you tried a wired connection?another network perhaps?re-downloading it using the same setup may not work. You have to try another approach
