Exchange under Mountain Lion

I have major problems using Exchange in Mountain Lion. Under Lion everything worked fine (Mail, Calendar, Contacts incl. global address list). Under ML only Calendar works, Mail and Contacts show connection errors. Our corporate server is Exchange 2007.

Has somebody a fully working Exchange in ML?

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Hi,

I checked our Exchange-Server settings and they used autodiscover. Unfortunately it submitted the internal server for intern and extern use. I chaged it with our ITs and it works perfectly now.

Still Apple should allow users to "switch off" autodiscover or just allow them to set the server settings manually.

This is the way how to configure the Exchangeserver:

Use on the Exchange Server Shell the command: Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory |fl identity, internalurl, externalurl

and check the server settings. You need to start the shell as an administrator.

If the entries are wrong change them using these instructions:

Thanks to subsriram. That was the right hint!!!!

And please Apple follow my above suggestion.

Cheers,

Can someone confirm @zarrsten's point? Does this work? If yes I'll contact my administrator to make the changes.

I swear on my whole Apple products here: next time I'm on a keynote where a new OSX release is going to be anounced I'll stand up and'll ask as loud as I can:

"WILL MAIL BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO MY EXCHANGE SERVER AFTER UPDATING THE OS...?"

Don't care if they take me away, arrest me or brain wash me... . Unbelievable Apple - your b2c communication is really really bad.

I have used the exact same method as described on that blogpost. Everything the autodiscover test returns is correct. A few weeks ago I checked the same settings with one of the Exchange admins on a Microsoft website to validate settings (a free, hosted service from MS) and that was also correct. But does that matter? I have co-workers still on Snow Leopard: no problem, co-workers on Lion: no problem. Co-workers on Mountain Lion: problem. Where would you think the problem lie?
