Emails and tweets not coming in in Notification Center...

I have installed Mountain Lion but messages, emails and tweets do not come in in Notification Center. I have seen some tweets but then it stopped.

What could be the problem?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion

Ah now tweets and mails suddenly come in....
