Jul 27, 2012 5:06 AM in response to CeesBerrensby job_p,Dear Cees,
for me the solutions was :
- set system language to English ( open terminal, type sudo languagesetup and choose option 1 )- stop server components
- delete server app- restart mac
-re-download server app from the app store- reinstall
- problem solved (calendar working again)I had this problem on 2 machines with the same setup
on one of my machines I ran in another problem, namely that the wiki didn't start , eventually I did an extra install of the server app, and everything came online.
hope this helps
yours

Jul 27, 2012 7:35 AM in response to job_pby Gemini Enfield,This didn't work for me at first, until I remembered I should go to /Library/ and delete the server folder from there before deleting the server app from Applications.
Many thanks

Jul 29, 2012 11:25 AM in response to Gemini Enfieldby noben,I got a bunch of servces that don't work and the migration failed.
Got a lot of error messages in the Library/Logs/ServerSetup.log:
22:09:14.306 Setup extra failed:
path: /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/System/Library/ServerSetup/Migrati onExtras/30-ftpconfigmigrator.pl
RESULT CODE: 1
STDOUT: Did not supply a valid language for the --language parameter, needs to be one of [en|fr|de|ja]
I did the following to rerun the migration process
First, I solved the "Did not supply a valid language for the --language parameter" by doing:
Set system language to English ( open terminal, type sudo languagesetup and choose option 1 )
change language to English in System Preferences
Run setup assisted again:
I put Server.App in the bin, this is detected by the system and trigger all the services to stop within a few seconds: confirmation required.
Rename the folder "Migrated" (/Library/Server/Migrated) to "Previous".
Remove all other folders from /Library/Server/ folder.
Reboot
Move back Server.App in the application folder
Run the Server.App
It solved the problem for me!

Aug 5, 2012 7:55 AM in response to nobenby Driver28,Hi!
Did you have Swedish as interface language or just as locale and keyboard layout?
-
Aug 5, 2012 10:13 AM in response to Driver28by noben,I just changed the interface language. (Did it via system Preferences, Language and Text AND via terminal sudo languagesetup and choose option 1, just to be safe )
I did not change keyboard layout.

Aug 14, 2012 1:27 PM in response to ~morgenby aef5023,I had the same issue when I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3398078?tstart=0). I gave up and installed a new Lion server from scratch (blank disc). I now upgraded to Mountain Lion and neither contacts nor calendar works. All languages were always EN.

Aug 25, 2012 2:43 PM in response to Gemini Enfieldby stevehc,This helped me -- I didn't have any data that I needed to migrate -- I'd already imported what I needed onto a fresh install of ML Server, so this was the cleanest solution for me.
My troubles with the upgrade were a combination of others on this thread -- language en-GB not recognised, /Library/Server/Calendar etc missing.
I was upgrading a Mac mini server, which came with Lion Server pre installed.
Pretty poor testing of product by Apple though.

Aug 30, 2012 1:27 PM in response to sjolshagby MilanRusek,Hi,
I have had the similar problems with Wiki, Profile Manager, and other services. Apple did not test localization for language=cs and any others but did not let us know about it. Unfortunately I think confirm upgrade works only for [en|fr|de|ja] language settings:-(

Sep 2, 2012 4:59 AM in response to MilanRusekby consiglieri_swe,'m running the swedish version. Bought a mac mini server preinstalled with Lion Server. Did the upgrade tp Moutnain Lion. I found that the /Library/Server/Calendar and Contacts directory did not contain a Data folder and that the Config folder did not contain any plist.
So i simply copied the plist from Server App, i.e
sudo cp /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/private/etc/caldavd/caldavd.plist "/Library/Server/Calendar and Contacts/Config"
no change in language locale and the calendar seems to start as it should after that. It seems it was not a lnaguage issue.

Sep 2, 2012 7:04 AM in response to sjolshagby consiglieri_swe,Hi again,
As they say these days "My bad", the calendar app appears to start, as far as Server App shows, but when i use a client and try to create a server account I receive an error messages that a safe connection cannot be etsablished and that the caldav settings cannot be determined. So it ends up only setting up adressbook but not calendar.
Guess I'll have to do some error searching.

Sep 4, 2012 8:10 AM in response to consiglieri_sweby ~morgen, consiglieri: the "safe connection" issue sounds like SSL is not enabled. In Server.app, go to Hardware > [your server name] > Settings > SSL Certificate > Edit, and make sure "Calendar and Contacts" has a certificate assigned.
Assigning a cert should automatically restart the Calendar and Contacts services.
You can verify the Calendar and Contacts services are listening on an SSL port by pointing Safari at https://hostname:8443/ -- you may have to accept a couple dialog boxes giving your approval to the self-signed SSL certificates.

Apr 17, 2013 6:06 AM in response to sjolshagby rvschenck,This is wierd-- I upgraded to ML last YEAR and just NOW I am getting this same error message.
