Safari 6.0 update doesn't work with autoproxy?

Software update gave me a new Safari 6.0 (7536.25) this morning on my MacPro running Mac OS X 10.7.4. Now I can no longer access some websites which are reachable through proxies. My system is still configured with an autoproxy.pac file but apparently it can no longer be read. I see this in the console:

WebProcess(2900) deny file-read-data /Volumes/Users/balsup/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/autoproxy.pac

I have verified the setting in System Preferences->Network->Advanced...->Proxies, but above error message indicates it was correct anyways. For some reason, it can't be read anymore! The file has u=rw,go=r permissions. The containing directory has u=rwx,go= permissions.

I see an updated /System/Library/StagedFrameworks/Safari/\

WebKit2.framework/WebProcess.app/Contents/Resources/com.apple.WebProcess.sb so I guess I need to find a location listed in there that allows reads and move my proxy file...again...

Seems like there was a similar reason in a previous upgrade. That's why my proxy file is in ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/. to begin with.

I arbitrarily chose /Library/Managed Preferences/ as my new location for the autoproxy.pac file (after scanning the com.apple.WebProcess.sb file for permissible locations). Changing my proxy configuration to point there (file://localhost/Library/Managed Preferences/autoproxy.pac) and restarting safari solved the issue.
