After I updated my MacBook Pro to Mountain Lion none of my browser longer supported Java. I've tried to look for updates, both via OS X and via AppStore without luck. As I can't download Java from Java, there's not much I can do.
Can anyone help me with getting my Java back? :-)

In spotlight, type in Java, and click on Java Preferences in the list - it will then start downloading and installing the new version. (my java version is now 1.6.0_33-b03-424)

Just get a message that no Java Version is available. And the Java Preferences window ist closed then.
me too! I couldn't find Java nor Jafa preference in spotlight
I just notice it too... I wonder is it the latest update remove the java.... So i went to java.com to download their latest OS for Mac
