ive unlocked my iphone4 to give it to some one as i upgraded to the 4s but the 4 wont take the new sim or my own sim. keeps saying no service??

Did you get it officially unlocked by going through the phone carrier? If not, that means you hacked or jailbroke your phone and we cannot offer help for a jailbroken phone.
