SMB file sharing to SBS 2011 broken?

After upgrading to mountain lion, I am unable to mount SMB shares from my windows SBS 2011. When I use "connect to server" in the go menu, I get the screen to authenticate, I type the correct server user name and password, and then it cannot connect. When I brotse, I see the server, I connect as myself, and the finder shows directory "/". When I try to go farther, I get "The operation can't be completed becausse the original item for "/" can't be found. I am in a domain environment. The "kind" is Sharepoint, which leads me to believe it connected to sharepoint instead of my SMB shares.

Same here guys!

In my case it's not an SBS, but a "normal" Windows Server 2008 R2. All workstations and other servers show their shares correctly, except for this one.

This particular server is the only one with the following roles:

  • File Server
  • Print Server
  • WSUS Server

What are the roles assigned to the servers with which you're getting this issue? Maybe we can find a pattern here.

(The title of the original post should be changed to "Windows Server" instead of SBS, btw.)

Well, it is here. Apparently the OP is also having problems through cmd+K, but that's something to do with the Kerberos authentication and therefore unrelated to the share browsing issue (imho).

By the way, regarding the mention of "Sharepoint" by the OP: that has nothing to do with Microsoft SharePoint (the collaboration platform), it's just the name given to shared folders by OS X.
