iPad doesn't turn off with cover

Got a nice new leather cover. Worked fine for a few days, but today it doesn't shut down. Podcast still playing with cover shut. Percentage of power down, system is hot as if running...because it's been running.

Try turning the iPad lock setting off, reboot the iPad and then turn the setting back on

Settings>General>iPad Cover Lock/Unlock>Off.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Then go back to the settings and turn the iPad cover lock on again.
