Mountain Lion login screen background, how to change it?

I've upgraded today, and while all other customizations still work just fine with Lion Designer 3 (updated), the login background is the only one that just won't work, not even manually. I'm stuck (again, as it was after the last Lion update) with the Apple Linen image, duh. Anyone who's already figured out how to change it? I know Lion Designer will probably be updated about this, just wondering if I can avoid waiting! Thanks a lot! 🙂

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 17'' 

This tip should (I think) work in Mountain Lion. However, you won't have a logo and the image will cover the shut down, sleep, and restart buttons. Unfortunately, this is the best we can do for now.

Your welcome. I haven't tested it myself, but I believe that Apple used the same resources for the login window in ML as in 10.7.4. Just a hunch. Let me know how it works out!

Alright so the manual way does not work, all it does (strange) is just doubling the size of the apple ICON above the user name and password, but the background image stays the same.

Loginox (updated for 10.8) app actually WORKS, even though there's some sort of light white "glow" on the background this way, like it was a few Lion updates ago, not sure how to get rid of it...it works though.

So I hope anyone who's looking for a solution can read this! Thanks anyways for the tips applefandan. 😀

That did not work for me. It only changed the  Apple Logo, it did nothing other than that. I press apply, it asks for me to type in my Admin Pass, I do that, then it says changing, but it never changed 😟

That's what the manual way did for me too. As said in my last comment, you need to use the Loginox app instead. You can download it here: http://www.loginox.branox.com 😉

Thats what the loginox app did to me. I did not do the manual way. If needed, I dont if I can, but it might be possible for me to insert a video showing that.

The loginox app failed to change my background.
