When I request a friend it says in the description "(My moms name, my last name) would like to be your friend" how do I make it so that it says my name instead of my moms name. It used to say my name how do I change it?

Select ME from the bottom..select(tap) your account name...select edit account..you can either sign out of the apple I'd, or change the nickname which I think is what you mean.

Go to settings then Game center then under Game center Pofile tap the bar and change the name.

Errrr... Tap on your account name? Did that and nothing happens. Can't see any of my account details etc. what gives?

After hundreds of tries I finally did it! Ok so first you have to go to SETTINGS, GAME CENTER, then click on your username. From there you can change it. If it doesn't work and it tells you to update it, you have to switch your internet or wifi. I had this problem and I was using my wifi so I switched to another and it worked!
Go to settings, click game center. Then, sign in with your Apple ID. Next, click Game Center profile and over there you can change your profile name.
To change your actual name you go into the ME section in gamecenter, click on where it says your email, then hit view account then go to where it says edit account info and you can change your first & last name, if that's what you were asking.
I think you are looking for this: appleid.apple.com. It will allow you to change your real name attached to your apple id account. Unless the account is your mothers, then I think you are out of luck.
@superpenguin9, the site isn't loading for me, i just get an internet error. But overall if i click on my email (which i wish i can swap with my dominant one), there is no update, or place to change my REAL name. But a thing to keep in mind is that I cannot get ios 7 due to the outdated ipod.
i am having problems with this also, i can change my nickname but it will still say another persons name as my name (the person who set my phone up, i know, dont ask) when people see me they see the other name and nickname not just one so changing the nickname for me is not working out how i wanted

Go to your profile (me) then scroll down and hit the bar with your email address. Touch "View Account" and scroll down. This is where you can change your Name
