Managing Base station..wrong password error on correct password?

I'm having the same issue. On 2011 Mac mini 10.8 w/ OS X Server and Airport Extreme 5th gen with all firmware and software up to date. Had no issues under 10.7 before ML upgrade and have tried setting new passwords etc.

I have the same issue, with macmini server 2011 and Airport Estreme.

I do not want to reinstall all OS.....i hope that there is a way to do it.

Even because i also reseted the base and now my VPN Calendar etc....do not work. I know that i might do it by Airport utility......but.....

Running into same issue here. Using fresh install of Mountain Lion Mac OS X 10.8.2 Server. "Enter your Airport password to manage Airport settings with Server" does not seem to work and gives me "incorrect password" regardless of what is entered.

The Time Capsule is using the latest firmware. I did a hard reset on the Time Capsule and still could not get Mac OS Server to login to manage it. Of course tried the default password of "public" which does not work in the Mac OS X 10.8 server interface but presumably works elsewhere (setup from iPhone, from Mac using Airport Utility)

The GUI can't even get started in OSXS 10.8 which leads me to believe this feature is just flat busted like other pieces of OSXS 10.8 (SNAFU). ?

Same problem here. Upgraded from 10.7 to 10.8 and now it won't manage my Airport Extreme. Says, 'wrong password' but I know that it's the correct password as I can enter the same password into the Airport Admin Utility. Mac OS X 10.8.2, Server 2.2, and Airport says that it is up to date.

I just received a response from Apple concerning this issue...

The problem you are encountering is a known issue and will be resolved in a future Server update.

Vague but comforting to know that it's not me and that they're aware of it.

The bone is small but it has been thrown! I'll take it!

Same problem here. This is my first and only install, it's completely fresh. I didn't upgrade from earlier versions and have never had it on my machine and it won't manage my Airport Express. I wonder if it's even worth continuing. Apple products are suposed to work perfectly together and make life easier. Now I have to either manualy forward ports or wait for the update. Chop Chop Apple.

same problem. Apparently it takes 2 months+ to get this resolved... So far not impressed by that new OS!

Ok, so this problem seems to be tough for the apple engineers. 10.8.3 brings no relief. :-(. Stuck with no RADIUS server operations either. Had a number of glitches after trying to use the RADIUS setting, would not recommend trying without plenty of time to recover from a test.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet?

Does not work up to the release of Yosemite yet. Have not checked 10.10.2 prerelease yet.

(This forum software is horrible from an iPhone!)
