Why isn't Power Nap available on early 2011 MacBook Pros with User Installed SSDs?

Why isn't Power Nap available on early 2011 MacBook Pros with User Installed SSDs? That was one of the features I really wanted.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
