The error message says that the contact is not registered with iMessage.
However, I am able to send & receive messages to this contact on my iPhone/iPad. Help?
did you activate the message application from your imac?
sign in with id & password on mac
remember that an iMessage sent to their phone number will only reach them through Message on their iPhone, and not on their Mac or iPad, which can only receive iMessages at email addresses
they also have to be a "subscriber" to messages for the ipad & macs
I sent the iMessage to an email address cause the person only has an iPad. What I don't understand is how I am able to send them imessages from my iPad but not my mac?
Yeah I did. Anyway, the problem was solved after I restarted my mac. Must've been a glitch.. Thanks anyway!
