Can you delete part of conversation?

With the new Messages app in Mountain Lion, if properly set up, you can see the conversations synced between the Mac's and the other IOS devices. I am able to get this to work, however, it seems that deletions are not synced. If I delete part of a conversation on one device or Mac, the others still carry that part of the conversation in the respective iMessage app. Is there a way to make sure this can be synced or do you have to do it manually on each device. Alternatively, is that a way to disable one device from logging/syncing conversations? Thanks.

I suspected as much but it is a shame that syncing between devices for iMessage is not really syncing otherwise, deletions should also be handled properly. This is somewhat of a privacy concern since a lot of people would have more than one iDevice (I have one in my home, car and office plus iphone and macs) and sometimes you may not want part of your conversation easily assessible by someone picking up or looking over at your iPad. Your suggestion to specify one "receive at" would be helpful only for the iphone since you cannot specify phone numbers for ipad or mac's but thanks anyway.

Maybe a future version of iMessage would have an option to allow full sync including deletions of all or part of a conversation.
